Standish Dog Trainer is part of the Victoria Stillwell Positively network of trainers and is owned and run by Jo Pay.

Jo offers modern, kind, positive training methods encouraging owners to be in tune with their canine family members and work with them in a way that is easy to understand, creating boudaries and trust that will create harmony between dog and owner.

“Having worked with dogs for many years, in varying roles from puppy training to re-homing unwanted dogs, I now want to use my learning and experience to help people make the most of the relationship that they have with their dogs. I firmly believe that with my gentle reward based training methods, consistency and determination, there is no problem that we cannot solve.”

I can offer 1-2-1 dog training, assessment of canine behavioural problems and provide  practical, kind behaviour modification programmes for people with difficult dogs. I also run dog training classes  on most Saturday mornings and a fun dog agility class on most Sunday evenings.

About Jo

I love dogs and have delighted in learning as much as I can about them, from they way that they look to what makes them tick and behave the way that they do.  For me to be able to share that knowledge with dog owners in order to help them to understand their pets, communicate with them, train them and enjoy a bond built on trust is very rewarding.
